成田空港と都心を結ぶ特急車両。「迎賓の心」「価値ある移動空間」をテーマに、余裕あるレイアウト・片持ちシート・ハットラック荷棚・大型荷物置場などの設備を配置し、空港アクセスとして日本をイメージさせるカラーリングを採用した。国鉄民営化以降外部コンサルが協力した初期の特急。
An express train connecting Narita Airport and central Tokyo. Under the themes of "Guest of Honor" and "Valuable Transportation Space," the train features a spacious layout, cantilevered seats, hat rack cargo racks, large cargo storage space, and other facilities, and adopts a color scheme that evokes Japan as an airport access. This was an early express for which outside consultants cooperated after the privatization of Japan National Railways.
