名古屋市の新しい連節バスを使用した交通システム「SRT」に導入された新型車両。エクステリアデザインでは街や光の移ろいにより風景を引き立て、街並みとの調和する造形を目指した。インテリアデザインでは車内にカウンターを設けるなど従来のバスにはない快適性と「街と人の距離を近づける」ための工夫を盛り込んだ。

A new bus introduced as part of Nagoya City’s new bus rapid transit system, SRT Nagoya. The exterior design was developed to complement Nagoya’s urban landscape, enhancing the surrounding scenery through the changing character of the city and light while harmonizing with the streetscape. The interior incorporates features not found in conventional buses, such as a counter inside the vehicle, creating an environment designed to bring people closer to the city and to one another.

「SRT」は、名古屋都心部の回遊性や地上の賑わいを拡大するため、まちづくりと一体となった新たな路面公共交通システム。GKID・GK設計・GKデザイン総研広島と共にトータルデザインプロジェクトに参画し、主に車両の内外装デザインを担当した。

Nagoya SRT is a new public transit system developed as part of Nagoya’s urban development efforts, designed to enhance mobility within the city center and bring greater vibrancy to its streets. GK Industrial Design, together with GK Sekkei and GK-DSH, participated in the total design project, primarily responsible for the interior and exterior design of the buses.
